ISIS process Area tag

Wanted to get how everyone configures their ISIS process in the lab. Do you always specify a process tag in case the lab has multiple areas ? Do you not ?

No need to. IMHO, it just adds to potential confusion.

If you use a process tag (router isis CCIE) then you need to remember to use it on all of your interfaces (ip router isis CCIE) otherwise you'll end up with two processes and some things not working properly.

Keep it simple! Unless you have a need for multiple processes, don't bother. Also remember that a SINGLE process can belong to multiple (up to three) NETs.

I guess I posted to soon. The scenario I was asking for is "Multi-Area ISIS Support".
"Note: Each area in a multiarea configuration should have a non null area tag to facilitate identification of the area."
But now I see "The IS-IS Multiarea Support feature is supported only for ISO CLNS"
