Hi Devi

I believe you need to pass CCNA. It does not matter what order you do them but you will not get a certificate until you pass CCNA.
The CCNA/X are meant to be specialisations after the base knowledge of CCNA. CCIE have no pre-req.

Conwyn is correct. Must have a valid CCNA in order to become CCNA security.
You can take the test, you just wont get the certification until you pass the full CCNA or both ICND1 and ICND2.

But in the Cisco Security Career path it is mentioned as CCENT -> CCNA Security-> CCSP -> CCIE Security.

Also note this;
CCENT Recertification

CCENT certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass either the ICND1 or ICND2 exam, or pass the current CCNA exam, or pass a CCNA Concentration exam (wireless, security, voice), or pass any 642-XXX professional level or Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams), or pass a current CCIE or CCDE written exam.

Please Suggest,
Appreciate your help.

I have seen that as well. Not sure why it is listed that way, but when you go under the CCNA Security on Cisco's website and on the CLN, it specifically states that you must have a valid CCNA. I would go with that. This is what I have heard over and over again, even fromt he community moderators. I think it is safe to say you need a CCNA in order to go to the concentrations.

Hi Devi,

In order to achieve your CCENT certification, you must pass 640-822 ICND1 and then you can continue to obtain the CCNA Certification by passing 640-816 ICND2. You need to pass both, ICND1 and ICND2, in order to achive the CCNA certification since this is one of the two path options available to obtain it.

In addition, you can take the CCNA Security exam (640-553 IINS) first and then obtain your CCNA certification or vice versa. However, you will not be certified in CCNA Security until you have fulfilled the pre-requisite (valid CCNA certification) and exam requirements (640-553 IINS).
